Overview
Painting Technique: .this painting was painted when I was temporarily living in the city of Dambury, CT in the United States. It was a very cold winter, a lot of snow accumulated with a temperature of minus fifteen degrees. The idea came when walking down the street I found a paper brochure on the floor that had the image of Main Street, I noticed that it was an old image and it was well damaged but I took it with me anyway, what caught my attention in this image was Rogers Park well l at the bottom of the image, because there I used to do some exercises in the morning when I could and I also lived to the right up on Seeley Street very close to rogers park. I lay down that night to sleep and thought about a way to paint this image, as I didn't even have the basic material. When I woke up in the morning I cut the sheet from the bed I slept on and started to do some scribbles with pencil, the only paint I had was a brown acrylic, on the bathroom cabinet there were some cotton swabs that I used to develop the shadows, a damp cloth and my fingers , when the beginning of the lines had already started with approximately 30% done from left to right I could not continue because the image was damaged, so I had the idea of looking for the Dambury Bookstore to learn more about this image, I went to the bookstore in a Monday morning and I talked about the image, the bookstore attendant called the chief librarian, I showed him the piece of cloth with 30% of the painting done, he quickly identified the image and said that this image is used as a portal card of the city, he quickly printed the image on his computer and asked me: If you don't need this painting anymore, I ask you to donate it to the city hall that whoever the Mayor is, he was sure he would laugh like. I ran home right away and continued to paint, it was like 9 days of work, a little bit each day. Finally I finished it and I have this painting that I hold dear about my power to this day.
